The method I use for my portraits is a single photographic portrait sitting, which avoids time-consuming multiple sittings. This single sitting usually lasts from a couple of hours, to a morning or afternoon. During that time I get to know the sitter, make color notes and put together a large collage of photographs. The process by which we select the final image to be used for the portrait is a team effort, involving myself, the sitter or whoever is commissioning the painting. Sittings normally take place at my studio in London. I am happy to travel but this does incur extra cost.

I also paint pets of every kind, either on their own or as part of a commissioned portrait of an adult or child.
